1. What you're buying

QR Events provides an online photo album for weddings, birthdays and other events. For a once-off payment you get one private album, a dashboard to manage it, printable QR table cards, and the guest upload and photo booth pages. Each plan allows a set number of photos and videos:

• Intimate, R349: up to 500 photos and 15 videos. Extra months R49 each, charged monthly.
• Classic, R649: up to 2 000 photos and 40 videos. Extra months R79 each, charged monthly.
• Grand, R999: up to 5 000 photos and 80 videos. Extra months R129 each, charged monthly.

Photo booth strips count as photos. Each video can be up to 250 MB. You can upgrade to a bigger plan at any time by paying the difference.

How long your album is kept

Your album stays open until 30 days after the event date on your account. We email you 7 days and 1 day before it closes. When it closes, guests can no longer open it. You then have 7 days to buy more time, after which the album and every photo and video in it are permanently deleted. You can choose to keep your album for 3, 6 or 12 months when you sign up, or add time later. A single extra month is a once-off payment. For 3 months or more, the extra months are charged monthly to your card through PayFast, starting when your paid time would otherwise end, for exactly the number of months you chose and no more. You can stop the monthly payments at any time from your dashboard; your album then stays open until the end of the last month you paid for. If a monthly payment fails, your album closes at the end of the time already paid for, and the usual reminders and grace period apply. Upgrades are once-off payments.

You can move your event date before the event takes place, up to 18 months from when you bought your plan; your closing date moves with it.

2. Delivery

The service is delivered online. Your album and dashboard are available as soon as PayFast confirms your payment, usually within seconds. We email your sign-in details and your guests' link.

3. Payment

Payments are processed by PayFast. We never see or store your card details. Prices are in South African Rand and include any applicable taxes.

4. Refunds and cancellations

If you change your mind before any photos have been added to your album, email the email address on our website within 14 days of paying and we'll refund you in full. Once guests have started using the album the service has been delivered, so we can't offer a refund, but if something isn't working please tell us and we'll do our best to put it right. Refunds are paid back through PayFast to the original payment method.

5. Your album and your guests' photos

You and your guests keep ownership of the photos and videos you upload. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people your album settings allow, only so we can run the service. You're responsible for the content shared in your album; we may remove content that is unlawful.

6. Privacy

We store your names, email address, event details and date, your album settings, and the photos and videos uploaded to your album. Guests don't create accounts; if they choose to type a name, it's shown with their photos. We don't sell your information or use your photos for advertising. Albums are kept out of search engines and can only be opened with their private link. Ask us at any time to delete your account and every photo in it.

If you or your guests choose to save photos to OneDrive, you sign in with Microsoft in a Microsoft window. The photos are sent from your own browser to your own OneDrive; we never see your Microsoft password or keep your sign-in.

7. Keeping your photos safe

We take reasonable care to keep the service secure and available, but please download a copy of your album before it closes. We aren't liable for loss of content or for indirect losses, to the extent the law allows.
